How a credit card welcome bonus tracker works
A welcome bonus usually depends on meeting a spending target within a set period. This tracker subtracts posted refunds from eligible purchases, compares the result with your target, and divides any remaining amount by the days left.
All dates are calendar dates. The days-left calculation is the difference between the check date and deadline. The daily figure is rounded up to the next cent. It shows the average pace from here, not a purchase schedule or a guarantee of meeting the offer.
Do returns affect a sign-up bonus?
A refunded purchase can lower your eligible total. For example, $3,800 of eligible purchases minus a $300 return leaves $3,500 counted. Against a $4,000 target, that leaves $500. Check the accepted offer for the issuer's rules on returns, excluded purchases and bonus adjustments.
Which deadline should I use?
Use the deadline for the offer you accepted, rather than a current offer advertised to new applicants. Do not assume the clock starts when a physical card arrives. Leave time for purchases to post and check your issuer's progress tracker.
What does ahead of pace mean?
It compares the share of eligible spending completed with the share of the offer window that has elapsed. It does not predict future spending. You can be ahead today and still miss the deadline if the remaining planned purchases do not post in time.
Can this send a reminder?
This free calculator runs when you use it and does not save your dates or send notifications. The connector experience shows how bonus progress can fit into a conversation. The live website chat uses a sample wallet.
